Somaliland youth development fund (SLYDF) was established to unlock youth potential in the enterprise sector and empower their social innovations and creativity.

Improved youth employment will contribute to the nation’s economic progress. It will reduce the youth’s vulnerability factors that lead to irregular migrations, drug addiction, terror influences and many other social problems. 

Somaliland youth development fund was established with a presidential decree referencing JSL/XM/WM/222-469/022020 dated February 2020 with a strategic focus on youth entrepreneurship development as a fundamental approach to increasing Somaliland youth’s economic opportunities.

The fund will enable the youth to participate in nation-building through enterprise development and creating a conducive business eco-system.
