Somaliland Youth Development Fund Tests Online Funding System (Mobile Application Platform)

Hargeisa, Somaliland – May 23, 2024 – The Somaliland Youth Development Fund (SLYDF) successfully conducted a trial meeting to test its new online funding system to test its Mobile application platform. This innovative platform will streamline the application process for young entrepreneurs seeking financial support for their business ventures through Somaliland regions and districts.
The trial meeting, led by the SLYDF's Executive Director, brought together key stakeholders. Directors General from the National Insurance Agency and the Ministry of Communication Technology provided valuable insights, alongside technicians from both the SLYDF and Sahal Technology, the company responsible for developing the mobile application.
Young entrepreneurs participated actively in the trial, submitting feedback on the user experience and highlighting potential challenges applicants might face. Experts from the SLYDF and Sahal Technology were present to address these concerns and ensure the system is user-friendly and accessible for all.
